empowerHER
empowerHER is a year-round outdoor mentorship program for girls living in the Upper Arkansas River Valley who want to get outside, try new things, and find their crew.
From skiing and climbing to whatever adventure comes next, each week is a chance to build confidence, learn new skills, and feel more at home in the outdoors, all in a supportive, all-girls environment.
No experience needed! We’ll meet you where you’re at. Just show up ready to try. We’ll take care of the rest.

Our empowerHER Summer session takes place on Tuesday or Wednesday starting June 2nd. Rising 6th graders are eligible to apply. Entering 9th grade in the 26/27 school year? Check out our Venture On program below!
Summer Session 2026
Venture On
Venture On (formerly leadHERship) is for high school girls in Chaffee County and nearby communities who want to get outside, try new things, and grow their tribe.
During the school year, we keep it low-key with once-a-month drop-in days. We do fun activities like hiking, paddleboarding, climbing, or really whatever we’re feeling. There is no attendance policy or requirement to come every month.
In the summer, Venture On meets every Thursday for 10 weeks, with bigger adventures, more time together, and a chance to actually build skills and confidence over time. Summer 2026 starts June 4.
